European Club Cup 2018

White Knights will be competing in the 2018 European Club Cup in Chalkidiki, Greece 11th – 19th October.

The team will consist of Allan Pleasants, Bill Hewitt, Pete Heaven, Jason Garcia, Adam May, Peter Bevan and David Buttell.

Arkady Dvorkovitch elected new FIDE President!

At the FIDE General Assembly held in Batumi, Georgia, Arkady Dvorkovitch was elected as the new FIDE President. 

His team will be:

Bachar Kouatly – Deputy President  Sewa Enyonam Fumey – General Secretary  Mahir Mammedov – Vice President  Julio Granda Zuniga – Vice President  Zhu Chen – Treasurer

Wales Open and Womens 43rd Chess Olympiad Results and Pairings

The Welsh Open and Ladies teams are currently competing in the 43rd Chess Olympiad in Batumi, Georgia.

The 2018 British Blitz Qualifier held at Cardiff on 8th September resulted in rwo players qualifying.

These were Marcus R Harvey and Grzegorz Toczek.
