Regulations

Rate of Play: 11 rounds 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move from move 1.

 

Byes: A player may claim up to 2 half point byes in the first five rounds only.

 

Qualification:

All players must be registered members of the Welsh Chess Union and also Welsh qualified in one of the following ways:

(a) Birth in Wales

(b) Child of a person who was born in Wales

(c) Spouse or civil partner of a person who was born in Wales

(d) Residence in Wales for at least two years immediately prior to the event

(e) Ten Years Consecutive residence in Wales.

(f) Competing in the equivalent Championship in at least one of the last three years.
