Welcome

The London Junior Chess Championships is one of the country's most prestigious junior chess events. Qualifying events for U8, U10 & U12 age groups run in different venues throughout the autumn. There is no prior qualification necessary for the U14 events and above.

 

Congress of the Year

The LJCC organisers are delighted to announce the LJCC Centenary Tournament 2024 has been named ECF Tournament of the Year.

We want to thank all those who have supported us over many years.  We are so proud of our Congress Manager, our Arbiters, and our Trustees who put so much effort into making the tournament great.  Thank you also to the players and parents who are the beating heart of all our events.

 

LJCC Events 2025

Qualifying events will take place from the end of August through to December.

Dates for our 2025 Finals are confirmed:

U10/U14 will take place on December 13th & 14th

U8 will take place on December 29th, 30th

U12, U16, U18/21 will take place on December 28th, 29th, 30th
