Regulations
TEAMS OF 3 PLAYERS
Teams can be made up of players from same club, school or even a
group of friends – there is no restriction.
All players must be born in 2006 or later
RATE OF PLAY
All moves in 3 minutes with a 2 second increment from move 1
BOARD ORDER
Ratings used will be March 2024 FIDE Blitz and January 2024
WCU Junior Rapidplay List with January WCU Rapidplay list taking
precedence.
Where players have a rating then a player can play above a player with a lower rating provided the difference is 80 points or less.
Teams with unrated players must play in order of strength subject to the above restriction.
EVENT WILL BE FIDE RATED
Players without a FIDE registration must give their date of birth to
the organisers on the day of the event so that they can be
registered with FIDE under Wales.
BOARD ORDER MUST REMAIN THE SAME THROUGHOUT THE
EVENT
MATCH POINTS (1 point for winning team and ½ for a drawn match) will be used for pairings and final standings. Board points will be used for tie-break.
