It was great to see the Castell Nedd Chess Club Christmas party return once again.
The highlight of the night had to be Santa’s visit, handing out chocolate selection boxes and chatting with the children about their games. Alongside the chess, there were plenty of activities set out, although many of the children were more than happy to dedicate their Christmas hours to the game itself.
A big thank you goes to Nicola Robinson and her mother, who helped run the raffle, put up the decorations, and organise the refreshments. The treats weren’t limited to the club organisers either. Cae kindly provided his homemade lemonade, which went down a treat, while Ossian’s grandmother baked wonderful cupcakes for the members to enjoy.
With mince pies, lemonade, games, and plenty of chess, everything went down well, and the junior members enjoyed yet another memorable Castell Nedd Chess Club Christmas party.
Thank you to the National Lottery for providing funding toward the event, giving us the accommodation to run such activities.
