The 2017 Welsh Junior Championships were held at Cathedral School, Cardiff, on 4-5 March, 2017.
Ben Chooyin won the under 16s, Ifan Rathbone-Jones the under 13s, Ellison Smith the under 11s, and Sridatta Dantu the under 9s.
- Under 16s: 1st Ben Chooyin, 2nd Karanvir Lutchman Singh 3rd equal Imogen Camp and Petko Petkov
- Under 13s: 1st Ifan Rathbone-Jones, 2nd equal Duncan MacDonald, David McIntosh and Madeleine Smith
- Under 11s: 1st Ellison Smith, 2nd equal Fraser Britton, Daniel Chung, Rhys Matthews and Bence Szakmany
- Under 9s: 1st: Sridatta Dantu, 2nd Tom Davies, 3rd equal Benjamin Jaberansari, Vedant Lutchman Singh, Ashika Shahameeran, Maazin Rizwan
The under 9 Major took place on the Saturday:1st Suhaani Prasad, 2nd Evan Layton and 3rd Kitchik Branidharan and Oscar Hitchings. The under 11 Major took place on the Sunday: 1st Ashika Shahameeran, 2nd Benjamin Jaberansari and 3rd equal Nye Bradfield, Tom Davies, Krisna Lee and Henry Townsend
