Welsh players participate in the final stage of the UK Land Chess Challenge

Several juniors played in the Terafinal and Challengers sections of the UK Land Chess Challenge, over the week-end 12-13 August.

WCM Imogen Camp netted two wins and two draws in the terafinal. In the Challengers sections, Yuxuan Wun scored 3/6, Elison Smith 2.5/6, and Sanwi Dantu 2/6. In this stage of the competition, all ages are mixed together, making it particularly tough for the under 7s. It is to her credit that Isabella Ceasar participated, and while she didn’t net any points, she will have gained valuable experience.
