A new episode of The Simpsons, “The Cad and the Hat”, will be shown on SKY1 this Sunday evening at 6.30pm. In this story Homer shows off his skills on the Chess board. Two local rounds of the UK Land Chess Challenge will be held on Saturday 25 March in Swansea, and Saturday 8 April in Chepstow. They provide an opportunity for children that have not had a chance to play in the UK Land Chess Challenge through their school or local chess club, and a second chance for children that have already participated in this competition this year. Sad news has been received that about three weeks ago former Welsh Champion John Denley Mills passed away at Royal Gwent Hospital. The WCU Management Board wish to send their deepest sympathies to John’s family and friends at their sad loss.
