The 2017 Welsh Junior Championships were held at The Grange, Monmouth, on 4-5 February, 2017.

Queen of Katwe being screened in Cardiff later this month

The Chapter, Market Road, Canton, Cardiff, CF51QE, have agreed to show “The Queen of Katwe” over Half-Term. This is a lovely film about a 10 year old girl in rural Uganda who is introduced to chess and finds her life is changed forever. It is an incredibly moving and inspirational true story.
