The 2017-2018 Calendar is now being displayed on the Calendar page The Fourth Merthyr Tydfil Chess Championship was held in The Dowlais Community Centre on Tuesday 27 June. Children from eight local Primary Schools from took part in the event, which was organised by The Stephens and George Centenary Charitable Trust and supported by Chess in Schools and Communities and other funding bodies. The 2017 Welsh Correspondence Chess Championships is to be restarted after a break of eighteen years. Entry is open to all Welsh chess players and free for this season.
