The 49th Cotswold Congress Entry Form has now been added to the Calendar should any members be interested in entering.

Sad news has been received that on Thursday 26th January, Windsor Lewis of Barry Chess Club passed away.

The funeral will be held on Monday 13th February at 3.00pm at Barry Crematorium.

Refreshments will be available after at Barry Golf Club.

The WCU Management Board wish to send their deepest sympathies to Windsor’s family and friends at their sad loss.

The Junior Selection Committee has now published a Junior Selection Criteria document which clearly oulines the minimum grade qualifications required to be considered for selection for the World and European Youth Championships for both the Open (Under 8 – Under 18)  and Girls (Under 10 – Under 18) competitons..

In the WCPL Round 2, Abergavenny beat Nidum 3.5 – 2.5, Cardiff beat The Vake 4.5 – 1.5 and White Knights beat Cardigan 4.5 – 1.5.
