2021 has not been a good year for Cardigan Chess Club and on 6 October a third stalwart left us. Seamus, as he was known to the least respectful in chess circles (and Canon James Cunnane to those most respectful in the Catholic Church), was a member of the Club more or less from its […] Wales will be competing in this event which takes place in Slovenia between November 11th-22nd. Mike O’Leary, one of the founder members of the current Barry Chess Club, sadly passed away on 30th September after a long illness. The WCU wishes to express our sincere condolences to Mike’s family and friends at this very sad time. There will be a funeral on Friday 22nd October at St Helens […] Between September 25th and October 5th, both Mark Adams and Anthony Hughes competed in this event and finished with a score of 4/9.
